The Kittredge Sanitation and Water District will enter the irrigation season in Level One Drought on May 1, 2021. As a reminder, the irrigation season runs from May through October. At this time there are no penalty rates in effect. District Management will continue to monitor the environmental conditions including the Colorado Drought Monitor, weather forecasts, and streamflow. While we are hopeful that more moisture is in our long-term future; the District is anticipating a Level Two Drought in effect as early as June 1, 2021; at which point penalty rates will be in effect. Please see the attached letter regarding our pre-irrigation season notice.
