The West Jefferson County Metropolitan District extends from Hilltop Drive in Wah Keeney north to I-70 in El Rancho.



West Jefferson County Metro District is calling for Nominations for the three open board positions. You must be an eligible elector of the West Jefferson County Metro District to be nominated for the position or vote in the election. Eligible electors must be: 1. A registered voter in the State of Colorado, and 2. Live within District boundaries or own property within District Boundaries.

The Board positions are 4-year terms. The Board meets monthly, see Meeting schedule below for dates and times. A regular election will be held on Tuesday May 2nd, 2022, between the hours of 7:00 am and 7:00 pm. Please email the Self-Nomination form to ddevaney@evergreenmetro.org no less than 67 days prior to the election (Friday, February 24th, at 5:00 pm).

To request an Absentee Ballot please fill out the following form and drop off or mail to our office. (PDF Application for Absentee Ballot) Applications will be accepted until the close of business on the Tuesday immediately preceding the election.

The West Jefferson County Metro District wastewater treatment facility is undergoing a project that includes the construction of two new buildings at 29847 Lewis Ridge Road. The purpose of the project is to replace an old treatment tank system that has become unstable and unsafe. The existing plant consists of eight buildings: Collections & Distribution, head works, bio-solids, operations, aeration basin, clarifiers, blowers, and filters. The work includes demolishing the existing operations building and constructing a new activated sludge basin that is contiguous to the existing aeration basin. A new operations building will also be constructed. The project work will also include storm water and sanitary infrastructure to service the proposed buildings, concrete walkways, driveway, curb and gutter. The construction schedule is as follows:

Commencement of work will be in November 2020 with the expected final completion in the fall of 2022. The completion date will be dependent on the weather and potential delays caused by the pandemic. The normal hours of operation will be Monday – Friday, 7 am to 5:00 pm. Longer work hours may take place from the spring to the fall of 2021. There may be times when longer work days and Saturday work activities will be necessary to complete critical operational functions at the facility.

Meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month from 2:00-4:00 pm unless otherwise noted. The meetings are held at the EMD Offices at 30920 Stagecoach Blvd., Evergreen CO 80439 and virtually at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83210682902. These meetings are open to the public.
