Please see the notice linked below for Evergreen Metro District\'s Water Outlook Report for 2020. Here you will find a summary historical and current conditions that affect our water supply, and Evergreen Metro District\'s planned response to varying levels of drought.
Drinking water and COVID-19: Your water is safe!
Just as always, EMD Water Department's first priority is keeping your drinking water clean and safe. The coronavirus as well as other viruses are eliminated from treated drinking water through standard treatment and disinfection techniques.
Furthermore, per the CDC: “presence of the COVID-19 virus has not been detected in drinking-water supplies and based on current evidence the risk to water supplies is low.”
Evergreen Metro District is now in a Level 2 Drought. As of today the streamflow at the dam was measured at 11.5 CFS. A Level 2 Drought means mandatory cutbacks in outside watering to no more than three days per week. Please see this graphic for more information on specifics and fees associated with a Level 2 Drought.
